A year ago, we wrote the below post regarding New Year’s resolutions. A lot has happened since this was posted, but have you taken action to make the necessary changes to make your life the way you want it? We are always a “work in progress;” however, if you are still not on a path to the life you deserve then read this once more. This year CAN be different, you just have to decide to be great!
You don’t need a resolution to change your life. Resolutions are masked excuses. You need a plan, you need to take action, and you need to stop coming up with excuses as to why you CAN’T. In the CrossFit world, we don’t use that word. A movement or lift may be too heavy or we don’t possess the necessary technique, but we find a way. Whether it be through training, practice, or shear will and determination, the I can’t becomes the I will and I have.
In life, we constantly make excuses to make ourselves feel better when in fact we are paralyzed by fear. Here are 106 Excuses that are preventing you from becoming great. Read these and then this year, instead of making the normal list of “what ifs” and “buts”, instead write down what you most desire above all else in the world. Create a plan and put a laser focus on that one desire. Then most importantly, execute. We must go out and take what we truly desire for tomorrow is not promised no matter who you are!
