How long have you been a member at Cave CrossFit?

5 months

How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness?

I’ve always been insecure about my body, CrossFit has made me a lot more confident, I’m not constantly thinking "I look fat” and because of that I’m able to enjoy life a lot more! CrossFit also changed the way I feel about working out, before CrossFit I dreaded going the gym! Now I look forward to signing up for class on Wodify!

What is your athletic background?

I’ve never been much of an athlete… I would do a few minutes of cardio a few times a month.. In 2014 I ran the LA marathon, that was the most consistant I’ve been in working out...

Favorite WOD:

I don't have a specific favorite, at the end of class I end up loving the WOD no matter how long or how hard it was.

Favorite Lift/Movement:

Box Jumps, Dead Lifts, Front Squats, Singles (working on my doubles)

Least Favorite WOD:

Any WOD that has a METCON that goes over 15 minutes!

Least Favorite Lift/Movement:

Cleans and Snatches!

What are your proudest achievements?

My proudest achievements occur during PR week!! I love looking at my performance history and seeing how far I’ve come.

Name one goal and/or personal record you would like to accomplish through CrossFit?

My goal is to eventually do pull-ups without bands! Another goal is to improve my form and technique on cleans and snatches!

Any advice for someone thinking about trying CrossFit or someone who has just started?

I would tell them it’s not easy and be consistent with CrossFit, missing a few days is like missing weeks! I would also tell them to be patient and that being the last one to finish is more than ok.
